What kind of wax do you use?
We opted to go with soywax because it is a renewable source, emits zero toxic, and is considered as one of the best and healthiest types of wax for candle production.
How is Soy wax made?
Soybeans are husked and dried into flake form, then the oil is extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated.
What are essential oils?
Essential oils are basically plant extracts. It can take several pounds of a plant to produce a single bottle of essential oil. In addition to creating scent, essential oils perform other functions in plants, too. Essential oils can make a positive impact on your health and well-being as long as you use them in a safe way. Essential oils have been getting a lot of buzzes recently for helping with everything from headaches to sleep to sore throats.

Can I apply the candle oil directly on skin?
NO! Pls DON’T apply our candle oil directly on skin. Our candles are blended with a 7% portion of essential oils, and because pure essential oils are concentrated and potent, avoid using them full-strength on skin. Diluting them in carrier oil is the best way to avoid a bad reaction when applying directly to the skin.
Why does the wick keep flaming out?
It means you need to trim your wick for a proper burn. The easiest way to do this is by pinching off the top burnt bits with your fingers or using a small tool like a nail clipper or wick trimmer. You should regularly trim the wicks of your candles to ensure a crisp burn. We recommend a length of 5mm. Go to Candle care to see more details.
Why there are bumpy surfaces after burning?
Frosting or irregular, bumpy surface between each burn is also an indication that we are using all-natural soy wax blend. Many store-bought candles contain unnatural additives to achieve creamy smooth tops. Our candles are made from 100% soywax. Bumpy surfaces are super common with soy wax — it happens when the candle cools at an inconsistent rate. This does not affect the quality or the performance of the candle’s burn or scent in anyway and also proves your wax is 100% natural.
How long do your candles burn for?
Our 40g travel tin candles, burn for approximately 12 hours. Our 200g mud container candles, burn for approximately 12 hours. Burning times are best achieved when Candle care instructions are fully followed.
Why is black smoke coming out of my candle?
Trim the wick before every burn. We recommend a length of 5mm. You should regularly trim the wicks of your candles to ensure a crisp burn. Untrimmed wicks will emit carbon (black soothing smoke) or cause over-burning and even discoloration. You can use wick trimmers, nail clippers.
How to stop the candle from tunneling?
Tunneling is when the center of the candle burns up to its ‘memory ring’ (or where it stopped melting to) causing uneven burns and leaving wasted wax on the outer rim. This leftover wax means your candle won’t achieve its maximum burn potential and can become difficult to light later on.
How to fix a ‘tunneled’ candle?
If you’ve accidentally tunneled your candle. What you need to do is create a foil wrap around the sides and top of the tin, then poke a hole to light the wick. This will create an oven inside the candle for the edges to meltdown. Make sure on the first burn to always leave your candle lit until all the wax has melted to the edge, as this forms a memory ring for the next burn.
Why are there beads or small oil built up on the surface of candle?
If you see beads or small oil build up on the top of your candles, your candle might be sweating. Sweating is notorious in 100% soy wax candles and is a sign that the product is all-natural. Soy wax is sensitive to extreme temperature changes, causing the natural oils to separate from the wax and leaving pools of oil on top. Sweating will not affect the quality of your candle at all. You can simply wipe off the excess oil with a tissue. To avoid this in the future, make sure to keep your candles away from drafts, direct sunlight, and room that vary in temperature.
